Social Savvy
Build interpersonal skills and relationships
In this 4 week series, we will be focusing on developing self-awareness, communication and empathy to foster collaboration and enhance your ability to succeed in diverse environments. Whether you are looking to boost your confidence in social settings or sharpen your teamwork skills, these sessions will equip you with practical tools for success. This is a 4-week series designed to provide comprehensive insights and skills on interpersonal skills and relationships. While attendance at all four sessions is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged to gain the full benefit of the series. Each session builds on the previous one, ensuring a cohesive learning experience.
What you will learn:
- Week 1 | Jan 31: Back to the Future – How to optimize time management and prioritize tasks
- Week 2 | Feb 7: From Classroom to Collaboration – Ways to confidently navigate professional and peer communication
- Week 3 | Feb 14: Power of Pause – How to recognize and address signs of burnout
- Week 4 | Feb 28: Anxiety Unmasked – How to regulate your emotions and social anxiety.

Recovery College
In collaboration with Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, SCHW has launched a “Recovery College”. A Recovery College provides health and well-being courses that strive to support students in living their best life by covering diverse topics that support health, well-being and personal mental health recovery.

Sexual Health
We use an inclusive harm-reduction & judgement-free approach to educate students on a variety of topics associated with sexual health & relationships to help them make informed choices.

Sleep & Physical Health
We educate students on the importance of maintaining their physical health, and how related activities such as sleep can impact academics and overall physical well-being.

Substance Use
We use a harm-reduction model to educate students on the short-term and long-term effects of alcohol, cannabis and other substances, and also share insights on alternative practices to reduce associated risks.

We offer guidance on how to incorporate nutritious eating into a student lifestyle, as well as budgeting tips and education on nutrition fundamentals.
