1. Develop your academic support plan

Work with your Accessibility Counsellor to identify appropriate academic accommodation and support recommendations and identify the next steps in how to access them.

2. Share your accommodation letter with instructors

As part of the academic support plan you will receive a Letter of Accommodation (LoA) outlining your academic accommodation recommendations. Use the SAS Portal each semester to send your Letter of Accommodation (LoA) to your course instructors so they are informed of your needs.

3. Request test and exam accommodations

Submit requests through the SAS Portal for any quizzes, tests, or exams for which you require accommodations. Guidelines for Accommodated Tests and Exams Centre

4. Review your course outlines and connect with instructors

At the beginning of each term, review course requirements and consider how your accommodations may apply to specific learning activities. Reach out to your instructor by email or during office hours to coordinate implementation details.

5. Stay connected with Student Accessibility Services

We encourage you to stay connected with your accessibility counsellor throughout your academic journey. Reach out if you have questions about your accommodations or supports, if your health circumstances change, or if you are experiencing challenges managing academic demands.
